Illustrated Zine: Digestive Design Process

Digestive Design Process Zine

To showcase my comprehension of the design process/methods, I was tasked to create a set of concise cue cards for myself and my target audience (Children). How can we make these cards provide clear and accessible guidance, to aid us in conducting research, analysis, and focusing on key aspects of each stage?

Design Direction:

Drawing inspiration from Surgeon Toys for children, I have fused the playful nature of these toys with storytelling to explain my design process to my audience. As my first zine project, titled "Digestive Design Process," explores how I can effectively communicate the intricacies of design thinking to children who may not have much exposure to it. By using a familiar concept, I aim to simplify the process for "easy" digestion of information, as well as engagement!
The Process:

Initially, I considered using the standard set of cue cards for my approach. However, I desired to deviate from the conventional path and create something more intriguing. By envisioning the book as the "stomach" of a character, I highlight the unique selling point of my zine product, infusing it with a distinct and captivating element.
Storytelling:

The storytelling follows a bunch of mini people in the digestive system, that are trying to digest the burger (problem), analysing and encountering the problem, the bacteria within the burger, and solving the problem by using a combination of probiotics and the stomach’s own digestive juices!
